The Board, Management and staff of Rightscope Media hereby congratulate our Founder and Chief Executive Officer, Evodia Motsepe for being awarded the African Leadership Award and Medal of Honour in Business in New York on Wednesday, 25 September 2018 during the International Forum on Africa Leadership. 

The award, on the sidelines of the United Nations General Assembly 2018, was in recognition of her track record of accomplishments as a female business leader, having blazed the trail in South Africa’s food industry. The award also recognized her contributions to the country’s food security and socio-economic sustainability, as well as her commitment towards women empowerment, in making inroads for other women in the food sector. 

The forum, at the Hilton Hotel Midtown, was attended by several Heads of States, First Ladies, notable world business executives and community leaders, security agencies, industry practitioners and stakeholders from across Africa and the rest of the world. It also attracted an array of critical African Leadership stakeholders drawn from the public and private sectors, diplomats, business leaders, the academia, delegations from US Legislative bodies with focus on Africa, representative of the African Union; Africa Regional & State Governors; International Security & Peace Experts; the Academia; among many others.  

The International Forum on Africa Leadership (IFAL) is a one-day strategic high-level summit designed to build consensus towards addressing pressing regional and international challenges of peace, security and development in Africa, guided by shared vision and aspirations.  

The Forum, among others, aims to inspire and activate all stakeholders to pursue innovative thinking, research and practice in the field of peacebuilding. Other highlights of the forum included the Africa CEOs Roundtable and Private sector session; Gender & Sustainability Session; African Youth Leadership Development Endowment, and the ALM 10th Anniversary lecture series.
